Refund & Cancellation Policy

This Refund and Cancellation Policy applies to the tutor registration fee charged by LearnMate (operated by MD Enterprise). This policy complies with Razorpay's refund requirements and Indian consumer protection laws.
2. Tutor Registration Fee
2.1 Fee Structure
- Registration Fee: ₹100
- GST (18%): ₹18
- Total Amount: ₹118
- Payment Method: Razorpay (Credit/Debit Card, UPI, Net Banking, Wallets)
- Payment Type: One-time, non-recurring
2.2 What's Included
- Lifetime access to LearnMate platform
- Professional tutor profile creation
- Unlimited student inquiry notifications
- Direct communication with students
- Profile visibility in search results
- No commission on tuition fees
3. Refund Eligibility
3.1 100% Refund Guarantee
You are eligible for a full refund of ₹118 if:
- You do not receive any student inquiry within 1 year (365 days) of registration
- Your account is in good standing (no violations of Terms of Service)
- Your profile is complete and active
- You request the refund within 1 year and 30 days of registration
3.2 Immediate Refund Cases
You may be eligible for an immediate refund if:
- Payment Error: You were charged multiple times due to a technical error
- Account Rejection: Your tutor account was rejected during verification (within 7 days)
- Technical Issues: Platform malfunction prevented you from using services
- Unauthorized Payment: Payment was made without your authorization
3.3 Non-Refundable Cases
Refunds will NOT be provided if:
- You received at least one student inquiry within 1 year
- Your account was suspended or terminated due to policy violations
- You provided false or misleading information during registration
- You request a refund after 1 year and 30 days of registration
- Your profile is incomplete or inactive
- You voluntarily deleted your account
4. Refund Process
4.1 How to Request a Refund
- Send an email to admin@learnmate.in with subject "Refund Request"
- Include the following information:
- Your registered email address
- Phone number
- Payment receipt/transaction ID
- Reason for refund request
- Bank account details for refund (Account Number, IFSC Code, Account Holder Name)
- Our team will review your request within 3-5 business days
- You will receive an email confirmation once the refund is approved
4.2 Refund Timeline
- Review Period: 3-5 business days
- Approval Notification: Within 1 business day after review
- Refund Processing: 7-10 business days after approval
- Bank Credit: Additional 2-5 business days (depends on your bank)
Total Time: Approximately 12-20 business days from request to bank credit.
4.3 Refund Method
Refunds will be processed to:
- Original Payment Method: If paid via Credit/Debit Card, UPI, or Net Banking
- Bank Transfer: If original payment method is unavailable
- Amount: Full ₹118 (including GST)
5. Cancellation Policy
5.1 Account Cancellation
You can cancel your account at any time by:
- Logging into your account and going to Settings → Delete Account
- Sending an email to admin@learnmate.in requesting account deletion
Note: Account cancellation does not automatically entitle you to a refund. Refund eligibility is determined by the conditions in Section 3.
5.2 Data Retention After Cancellation
- Your profile will be immediately removed from search results
- Personal data will be deleted within 30 days
- Transaction records retained for 7 years (as per Indian tax laws)
- You can request a copy of your data before deletion
6. Student Services
Important: Students do not pay any registration fee to LearnMate. This refund policy applies only to tutor registration fees.
Tuition fees are paid directly to tutors and are not processed through LearnMate. Any refund disputes regarding tuition fees should be resolved directly between students and tutors.
7. Razorpay Compliance
This refund policy complies with Razorpay's merchant requirements:

- Transparent refund process
- Customer support contact information
All refunds are processed through Razorpay's secure payment gateway.
8. Dispute Resolution
8.1 Refund Disputes
If your refund request is denied and you disagree with the decision:
- Reply to the refund denial email with additional information or clarification
- Our team will re-review your case within 3 business days
- If still unresolved, you can escalate to our senior management at admin@learnmate.in
- Final decision will be communicated within 7 business days
8.2 Chargeback Policy
If you initiate a chargeback with your bank/card issuer:
- Your account will be suspended pending investigation
- We will provide transaction evidence to your bank
- If chargeback is successful, your account will be permanently closed
- We encourage you to contact us first before initiating a chargeback

We reserve the right to modify this Refund and Cancellation Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on this page. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified policy.
